Inspired by the movie, Julie and Julia, mainly the character, and real life writer Julie Powell, I’ve decided to get back into blogging.
At the risk of sounding like a total hypocrite, I have finally submitted myself into ‘peer pressure’ and created a Tumblr account. I can clearly remember myself tweeting this: “Mkaaay, seems like everybody else is on tumblr now. My pledge: I won’t put up another social networking account just cause everybody else is.” No offense meant. (I hope I won’t get kicked out of here by saying that.) And not until today, I found out that Tumblr isn’t purely a social networking site like Twitter or Facebook. It’s actually a blogging platform.
I know, I know…
In my defense, I didn’t put this up because everybody else did. I was inspired by Julie Powell and I miss blogging - writing about an extremely bad day, a blissful vacation, or just about anything. Above all, my urge to blog is growing exponentially, creeping inside me, and thoughts wanting to crawl out of my brain. Plus… I’ve done a little research and Tumblr is by far, the most effortless, efficient, and most interactive way to blog, and it has an iPhone application too! Yay. Not that it really matters. And unlike blogging, I couldn’t fit all the things I want to say on Twitter without flooding the timeline.
Still, I have no idea on what to blog about. Clearly, I won’t be blogging out of a cookbook. So, most prolly, I’ll just write about anything, of little bits and pieces from here and there. On another note, I’ve been a very busy person, juggling my academics, two organizations (one of which is a national organization), work, and a social life to keep me sane. So, evidently, I won’t be able to constantly write about whatever is going on with my life or anything I’ve stumbled upon. I don’t want this to feel like another load of responsibility that I have to update every now and then. However, I will try to post things here from time to time.
So, bon chance! I hope to have a great time in here.
